It's a Boy!!!

Can you believe it? 

Here are ultrasounds from our 2D/3D appointment on June 23. This is at almost 31 weeks gestation. It was VERY crowded in there- I can't imagine how he will have room to grow still a half pound per week for the next two months...

We had trouble getting some good pictures because 1) he didn't want to move around even though I drank juice, caffeinated pop, and walked up and down 5 flights of stairs twice and even did some jumping jacks!; 2) his face is right up close to the placenta - at times it looked like he was kissing it; and 3) the cord happened to be going right in front of his face, by his mouth, therefore obstructing a clear view of his face.

We did see some really good shots, though, watching it live, even though the stills didn't turn out so good. We have a DVD of the entire session (we were there over an hour, total), so we're going to probably get some more still shots from the DVD.

One thing was very clear though - this baby is definitely a BOY! That was one area that wasn't hidden at ALL!

They offered to let us come back another time for no charge, but since I'm already so far along and he's only going to get bigger and more crowded, we probably weren't going to get any better. We saw what we wanted to see, and plus since he wasn't being cooperative, they didn't even charge us the full 3D rate even though we got the whole 3D package. The whole experience was AMAZING!!!
